The world of smartphones will be seeing a lot of new entrants in May. CNBC-TV18’s Megha Vishwanath gives you a quick sneak peek into the future in 100 seconds.
Google Pixel 3a
Tech giant, Google will launch a budget variant of the Pixel, reportedly called Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL. Here’s what we know so far – the smartphones will run on Snapdragon 670, sport an 18:9 widescreen display and a 3,400mAh battery. Both devices may house 4GB of RAM and are expected to be unveiled on May 7. We cannot wait to try them out!
OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro
The big one will be coming from the house of OnePlus on May 14. The company will be launching the much-anticipated OnePlus 7 series. Both phones are set to pack in rear triple camera setup and 5G support. Some reports did suggest a possibility of the OnePlus 7 Pro packs in a pop-up selfie camera too.
Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro
Huawei's sub-brand Honor is all set to launch its flagship device on May 21 and hopefully take on the OnePlus 7 series smartphones. Honor 20 Pro is expected to come with a quad camera setup on the rear, while Honor 20 might settle for triple cameras. Both devices are being launched in London and TT will be there to bring you the first look.
Samsung Galaxy M40
Samsung too may be lifting wraps from its Galaxy M series phones to launch the Galaxy M40 on May 13, 2019. Keep in mind, the company has already launched the Galaxy M10, M20 and M30 in India. Much like all these devices, this too will sport a triple camera sensor.
So clearly it is going to be a super-busy month for tech analysts like me. For now, let’s unwind and enjoy the calm before the launch storm.
