You can now get your hands on (rather get on your hands) the Huawei Watch GT which comes with an 'ultra high' battery life and an in-built GPS. The watch which was launched by tech giant Huawei on Tuesday will likely cost you Rs 15,990.
Here are the features:
22-hour battery life
The biggest selling point for this smartwatch would definitely be its battery life. The company claims that a single charge can take you through two weeks. However, if you turn on the GPS, the battery life will remain as 22 hours.
The Huawei Watch GT sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a dual-crown design that sits on stainless steel and ceramic frame. There are two band options -- a dual-colour silicone band and a leather strap. Huawei has adopted a ‘one size fits all’ design.
While the icons might look similar, this watch doesn’t run on Google’s WearOS. It runs on Huawei’s in-house smartwatch operating system called LiteOS. Huawei Health app is compatible both with Android and iOS.
Like any other smartphone, Watch GT too packs in sports activity tracking including indoor and outdoor exercises, running, mountain climbing, and even swimming as the Watch GT is water-resistant up to 50 metres. And yes, the watch supports heart rate monitoring technology as well.
Price and Verdict
With so many features packed into this device, the Huawei Watch GT is a great device for first-timers and those who are looking to dabble into the world of smart-wear!
At Rs 15,990 the Huawei smartwatch definitely has competitive pricing. But this device has 'men-only' written all over it.
