Data analytics firm ThoughtSpot looks to pitch on India market

ThoughtSpot, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data analytics firm domiciled outside India, is looking at pitching on the Indian market.

ThoughtSpot was founded in 2012 by Ajeet Singh and Amit Prakash. The company plans to bring Google Search to the enterprise, empowering 20 million users with search-driven analytics by 2020. Basically, powering data search, analytics and insights for enterprises.

"The two things we do is Search IQ... natural language based and the second is SpotIQ, which is AI based," said Sudheesh Nair, CEO of ThoughtSpot.

Talking about how different they are from other players in the market like Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Nair said, “The difference is they are business intelligence (BI) companies but ThoughSpot is not that BI company. Our products are used directly by sales marketing teams, CIOs, etc.”. "However, we also want to connect to the BI team and add value for them."
