Storyboard: Local Circles report states only 28% of India consumer's trust brand advertising

Only 28 percent of the India consumers trust advertising, says a recent report released by Local Circles. Currently, misleading advertising are reported and regulated through a self-regulatory industry body called as Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) which in fact in 2019 ordered the removal of 299 misleading advertising.

The report also states that in spite of such a body being presented, 80 percent of the consumers would rather prefer if government created a code for advertising for penalising and holding responsible all the misleading advertising present in the market.
