John Maeda, the chief experience officer of Publicis Sapient was on his maiden visit to India recently. Maeda is one of the world's creative leaders of computational design and has had long stints at MIT Media Laboratory and the Rhode Island School of Design.
He is the author of five books, including the bestselling "Laws of Simplicity" and his new book is "How to Speak Machine”, which was recently launched.
Joined this year, Maeda's focus is to enable Publicis Sapient to bring together the two worlds of product and marketing to fit better together for established companies which he calls "end-ups" via Silicon Valley-style engineering and B-school-style strategy.
