The California-based brand Skechers that sells sports, casual as well as formal shoes is the third-largest global footwear brand after Nike and Adidas. The brand entered the country in 2012 through a joint venture with Kishore Biyani-led Future Group and has more than doubled store count to 267 over the past two years.
So what potential does Indian market hold for Skechers, who does the brand compete with and what are the growth plans? We get these questions answered as Storyboard speak to David Weinberg, chief operating officer, Skechers who recently visited the country.
Also on Noticeboard, we have a very interesting campaign for Asus ZenBook Pro Duo. The film was conceptualised by FCBUlka and highlights the 4K second screen on the laptop. The film takes the viewer through an immersive journey of a panic-stricken crew on the decks of a wooden ship.
The story broadly suggests Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan's infamous voyage around the world. The film is a fresh cut on laptop advertising and tells a unique story in a world that is cluttered by spec-talk and jargons. Take a look at this exclusive preview of the campaign.
