Storyboard: 'Facebook’s 'Thumbstoppers' to get advertising agencies to think short form'

Thumbstoppers — Facebook's initiative targeted at marketing and advertising industry to redefine storytelling in short-form video ads — conducted its jury meet for the 'Thumbstoppers Challenge' recently in Mumbai.

The Storyboard team caught up with the jury members to gauge the response to the Thumbstoppers challenge and hear their experience being part of the jury that picked out the winners of this exciting new storytelling format.

“I think the biggest impact it will have is that it will speak to all advertising agencies and get them to start thinking short form," said Rashi Goel, head - Consumer Communications, Nestle India.

“Facebook Thumbstoppers is a brilliant idea and a long time coming. It is important because we really need to step up the change across the ecosystem whether it is the client-side or agency side, “ said Gaurav Jeet Singh, general manager-Media (South-Asia), Unilever.

The Storyboard team also looks at the Fevicol ad. The brand recently completed 60 years of its existence and is launching a 90-second TVC, celebrating this milestone.
