Kia Motors' Manohar Bhat explains challenges of advertising for auto industry in India

Kia Motors recently released its first television commercial (TVC) for the Indian market titled 'Magical Inspirations, Stunning Designs'. This TVC traces the inspirations behind every great design and the unique inspirations that go behind every Kia car.

The quirky advertisement has been able to actively engage with the new age Indian consumer and has got a lot of views on the internet.

The Storyboard team caught up with Manohar Bhat, head of sales and marketing, Kia Motors India and spoke to him about Kia's unique approach for their advertising. He said the quirky ad was with an aim to give the Indian consumer preview of what to expect which Kia vehicles hit the road.

The thought behind the campaign was to position Kia as stylish, young at heart, a good design brand that it is known for worldwide, said Bhat, adding that design and quality are in their DNA.
