Here's what experts have to say about TRAI's new DTH tariff order

Updated : February 09, 2019 12:20 PM IST

More than a week into the new TRAI regime, CNBC-TV18 has learned that 30-40 percent DTH subscribers have fully migrated to the new regime, with 20-30 percent of MSO subscribers migrating completely. While migration is in full throttle, there are plenty of concerns on cable bills rising under the new regime.

A CRISIL report claims that monthly television bill for viewers opting for the top 10 channels would go up by 25 percent while TRAI Chairman RS Sharma has argued that bills would see a decline.

CNBC-TV18's Managing Editor Shereen Bhan discusses this subject with Vynsley Fernandes of Indusind Media and Ramesh Vaidyanathan of Advaya Legal.
