Startup Street: YAP eyes 300% growth; Yolo CEO on fund-raising

Vernacular social commerce app Sim-Sim has raised over $8 million in its second round of funding, bringing its total capital raise to $16 million in just six months since its launch. Sim-Sim offers customers an experience similar to offline shopping through a network of what it refers to as 'community opinion leaders' or influencers. To talk about the business model and the plans for the new capital, Startup Street spoke to co-founder Kunal Suri.

YAP, the API platform company that powers next-generation banking and payment products, has announced its first financing round. A clutch of super angels led by Amrish Rau contributed to the Rs 10-crore round. To know more about the venture, Shruti Mishra spoke to Madhusudhan R, co-founder of YAP.

Yolo, the Gurgaon-based intercity transportation start-up, recently announced a fund raise of $600,000. Today, the venture has revised the fund raise to $800,000. The company has received this seed funding from Rebright Partners along with other active angel investors. To talk more about the funding and the road ahead, Startup Street spoke with Shailesh Gupta, founder & CEO at Yolo.
