Startup Street: Postman raises $150 million, Rebel Launcher 2.0 helps brands to scale up

Updated : July 03, 2020 08:11 PM IST

A classic example of an India-bred software as a service (SaaS) success story that went on to build robust business abroad. Postman is a collaboration platform for API development and is currently being used by 11 million developers and 5,00,000 companies globally.

Postman recently closed its $150 million series-C investment round of $2 billion, which is how it entered the unicorn club. To know what lies ahead, CNBC-TV18’s Shruti Mishra caught up with Abhinav Asthana, co-founder and CEO of Postman.

One of the largest online restaurant chains, Rebel Foods, has launched the second edition of its "Launcher Program" that has opened up its operating system -- kitchens, technology, distribution channels and supply chain -- to food entrepreneurs to scale their brands.

With Rebel Launcher 2.0, the scope has now been broadened to go beyond "restaurant brands" and the focus is now on exciting brands across the food spectrum from "dining table" to "the kitchen", from ready-to-eat to ready-to-cook.

Startup Street talked to Ankur Sharma, head - supply chain, new product development & production at Rebel Foods,  to get details about the second edition of Rebel Launcher.
