Startup Street: Here’s how tech companies ramping up operations to meet surge in demand during COVID

Anant Maheshwari, president of Microsoft India, on Wednesday talked on long-term impact of COVID-19 and how tech companies are ramping up operations to meet surge in demand.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in the company’s quarterly earnings report in April-end said the tech giant had seen two years’ worth of digital transformation in two months.

This statement stands true for a large number of businesses across sectors.

To sail through remote teamwork seamlessly, companies rely on tech tools and video conferencing platforms. For instance just in April, the company saw more than 200 million Microsoft team meeting participants in a single day.

Ola Electric Mobility, part of the Ola Group, has acquired Amsterdam-based electric scooter maker Etergo.

This marks the company’s foray into the premium electric two-wheeler market. Ola Electric is all set to launch its electric two-wheeler by 2021.
