Startup Street: Dating apps Tinder, Bumble witness record registrations during COVID

The global lockdown has driven single people around the world to consider virtual dating apps. Registration on Tinder and Bumble has gone up substantially.

But as life starts crawling back to normalcy, how will the era of dating change and more importantly, is it easy to find love in the times of COVID?

CNBC-TV18 caught up with Elie Seidman, CEO of Tinder and Priti Joshi, VP-Strategy of Bumble and discussed whether virtual dating could become the new norm of life.

On Startup Street, CNBC-TV18’s Megha Vishwanath spoke to Sumit Gupta, founder and CEO of CoinDCX, a crypto exchange platform that has raised $2.5 million from Polychain Capital and Coinbase Ventures. The funding comes just months after the company raised $3 million in a Series-A round of funding. Gupta discussed where these funds would be deployed.
