The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a comfortable margin in Delhi, said Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
The Aam Aadmi Party released its manifesto for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. The manifesto titled 'Lekar Rahenge Poorn Rajya' demands full statehood for Delhi as its central theme. The manifesto says that AAP can fulfil its promises only if Delhi is granted full statehood.
On law and order, the party promises to take all steps necessary to make Delhi the 'safest city in India' for women. For this, the party promises that all cases of crime against woman will be tried by fast-track courts.
AAP has also promised 85 percent reservation for residents of Delhi in every college, healthcare and police.
On women safety, the manifesto says that the party aims to ensure a minimum 33 percent reservation for women in all police posts.
On healthcare, the party says if Delhi receives full statehood, the party will build new mohalla clinics to provide accessible healthcare at the doorstep of every resident.
