Apart from Andhra Pradesh and western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand also votes in the first phase of general elections that starts from April 11. CNBC-TV18 spoke to the sitting chief minister, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Trivendra Singh Rawat who is confident of a victory in this year's Lok Sabha elections.
Rawat said that Indian voters are following USA’s pattern in terms of the elections.
He further said that people are keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi in mind while voting.
According to him, 2019 election results will be a repeat of 2014.
"Uttarakhand wants Modi as the PM again," Rawat said.
