It's do or die battle for BJP and Congress in Karnataka elections

Updated : May 15, 2018 08:10 AM IST

Leading the Congress’ charge, Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah at 70 - is a popular but anti-incumbency weighs him down.

From the BJP camp, 75-year-old BS Yeddyurappa is in the lead, someone who is facing corruption charges in the illegal mining case.

Out of 224 constituencies in the state, 70 are urban.

It's a battle that BJP must win to achieve its ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’ slogan and the Congress must win to retain the only big state they govern.
