Election Caravan: Here's what West Bengal voters expect from the new government

Tram, the century-old iconic mode of transport is only alive in Kolkata. However, now, the city also has a metro. Is the tram losing its relevance? Is it simply becoming a relic of the days gone by?

The iconic trams have been running since 1902 and define and signifies what Kolkata has been. Nowadays, however, the number of trams running in Kolkata have come down and the tram company is running multiple buses on the roads.

To understand how Kolkata travels, CNBC-TV18’s Archana Shukla boarded the tram and spoke to voters about the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
