Laying down the roadmap and vision of ITI Mutual Fund, George Heber said, “We want to manage the money well. Focus is on asset management not on asset gathering. If we focus on that the sky is the limit because in the next 10 years, I presume the GDP is going to quadruple and the growth will be galloping significantly. We are going to see significant amount of assets coming in to the mutual fund industry.”
“Our focus is very clear, launch the right product for the investor, at the right time and at the same time manage the money excellently. All functions in our company have to be excellently focused on the investor interest,” he said in an interview with CNBC-TV18 for their special show 'Fund Anatomy'.
Talking about ITI’s Balance Advantage Fund in specific, he said, “It works on three main pillars, one is volatility of various asset classes like currency, commodity, debt and equity. Earnings strength is the second pillar and third is valuations. Valuation is the most important pillar in the whole thing."
"I was fortunate enough to be part of the ideation of Balance Advantage Fund category when I was in my pervious organisation and I cherish that it became a category by itself later on," he said.
George Heber Joseph is a CEO and CIO of ITI Mutual Fund. The fund currently manages Rs 200 crore in assets spread across four funds with another scheme in NFO stage at the moment.
