The latest analysis and commentary by stock market guru Sudarshan Sukhani on what is moving the markets today. Check out his top stock recommendations.

He spoke at length about Bharat Forge, Colgate, Piramal Enterprises, Indiabulls Housing, Kaveri Seed, Aditya Birla Capital, Ambuja Cement, Zee Entertainment, Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharmaceutical, Jubilant Foodworks, Reliance Industries, Apollo Tyres.

“Stocks are giving a sense of some buzz around them, midcap stocks especially. Sun Pharmaceutical is a buying opportunity. Sun Pharmaceutical has been outperforming; for three days now it has been having very decent rallies and that should continue. The second buy is Jubilant Foodworks. Again, another outperformer. So we are focusing on stocks that are already in the play expecting momentum to continue in their favour. Finally Reliance Industries, it gives a sense that it is bottoming out for the short term,” Sukhani said.

Speaking about the individual stock ideas, Sukhani said, “Bharat Forge is a buy. It went through a mini bear market and that bear market seems to be coming to an end. It is finding support at lower levels and now slowly rising up. Colgate is a buying opportunity. Colgate was a laggard but it is now catching up with the other FMCG stocks and probably going to be an outperformer. Piramal Enterprises – I come to this stock quite often thinking this is the time it is going to rally, it rallies and then stops. I am hoping this time it will be ‘the rally’. However, it is worth buying and finding out.”

“Two short sells. Indiabulls Housing – I am downbeat on NBFCs. Kaveri Seed where a distribution is now evident and stock price is collapsing. Focus on the long side today,” he added.
