Prakash Diwan: Prefer ancillary space over autos

Updated : October 24, 2020 10:05 AM IST

“If you had to import air-conditioning units without refrigerants and assemble here, it’s not so viable except for players like Subros who can do it on an incremental cost basis,” said market expert Prakash Diwan in an interview to CNBC-TV18.

“The company had a couple of dull years but it held on to the market share and with the likes of Kia etc., making roads into premium, semi-premium or luxury vehicles, there might be an upside for Subros,” he added.

According to him, ancillaries is the space to be in rather than getting worried about specific original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
