Most NBFCs fairly valued; Jet Airways looks interesting, says Neeraj Deewan

The latest analysis and commentary by stock market guru Neeraj Deewan, Director, Quantum Securities, on what he made of the numbers from financial space and his views on aviation.

He said most of the largecap earnings from financial space met expectations but were muted. According to him, most of the non banking financial companies (NBFC) and housing finance companies are fairly valued currently and there does not seem to be too much for them from short to medium-term.

Jet Airways looks the most interesting amongst the lot, post the correction. Although air traffic growth is expected to remain on an uptick, one has to also look at their costs (crude etc), which are going up. So, one is uncertain about the long-term view. However, Jet does look attractive from pure valuation point of view.
