The latest analysis and commentary by stock market gurus Sudarshan Sukhani, Ashwani Gujral, and Rahul Shah of Motilal Oswal on what is moving the markets today. Check out their top stock recommendations.

They spoke at length about Voltas, Britannia, Asian Paints, Syndicate Bank, Dilip Buildcon, Edelweiss, HPCL, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Reliance Nippon.

Stock specific, Sukhani said, “Voltas is a buying opportunity. This stock has been an outperformer. It has also not given us a correction of the kind the Nifty did and that is good news for it. Similarly, Britannia is a buy. Britannia did correct with the Nifty, but has a bounce back and suggests that a breakout is imminent and higher levels are coming. Asian Paints is a buying opportunity. This is a stock that did nothing for many weeks. For a short term momentum trader, there is momentum here. So this is a short term buy.”

Gujral said, “HPCL is a buy with a stop of Rs 257 and target of Rs 272. Canara Bank is a buy with a stop of Rs 255 and target of Rs 272. Bank of Baroda (BoB) is a buy with a stop of Rs 112 and target of Rs 124.”

Shah recommended a buy on Reliance Industries, Sun Pharmaceutical, and JSW Steel.
