In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Prashant Nair and Ekta Batra, G Chokkalingam, founder and managing director, said he considers BSE as a solid wealth creating stock.
Chokkalingam said, "I do face the criticism that BSE is not comparable to NSE in terms of growth. I just keeping saying that everybody has market share, everybody has certain value for the kind of quality they have."
Talking on SML Isuzu, Chokkalingam said it's a Japanese venture in India, "The stock has come down again by 30-40 percent from three year high. Even in one year, it's down by about 25 percent. Last year, this company had problem in sales, but this year in current fiscal, it has been doing well. Starting from April till August, the year-on-year growth in the vehicle sales have been more than 30 percent except in the June month, when it was 19 percent."
"SML Isuzu has spend around Rs 230 crore on modernisation and it's focused on school bus segment that is where I feel lot of growth would happen going forward. I recommend strongly SML Isuzu,” Chokkalingam said.
Chokkalingam is also positive on Mahindra Logistics with a target price of around Rs 700.
