Cement stocks had corrected a lot because there is expectation of capacity coming in and next year more capacity is going to be added, said Neeraj Deewan, Director at Quantum Securities.
"We saw a decent correction also in the cement stocks. However, when you are seeing across theme where investment is coming, people are still sticking with consumption stocks, specifically domestic consumption," he said.
"If someone is investing cement, it has to be for a longer term because there are going to be challenges going ahead when new capacity comes in. So one needs to be cautious that if you are investing, this may be a trading bounce back, but to get a good return one needs to be a little long term investor in cement stocks,” he added.
