Ashwani Gujral, Sudarshan Sukhani, and Rahul Shah of Motilal Oswal discusses with Prashant Nair and Surabhi Upadhyay their readings and outlook on market technical and F&O side of the market as well as specific stocks and sectors. They also answered viewer stock queries.
They also spoke at length on Canara Bank, Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL), Mindtree, DCB Bank, Divi's Laboratories, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tech Mahindra and GAIL.
Sudarshan Sukhani’s stock recommendations are, “Canara Bank is a short sell, all PSU banks have started weakening, I would suspect more downside here for most of them. Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) we have already heard the theme that crude is rallying even if the rally stops at current level. There is weakness in this oil marketing companies and more downside should be expected. Mindtree is a buy for two reasons first the charts are good enough and second there is that strength in the dollar.”
Ashwani Gujral’s stock ideas are, “DCB Bank is a buy with a stop of Rs 204 target of Rs 215. Divi's Laboratories is a buy with a stop of Rs 1,720 target of Rs 1,755 and HPCL is a sell with a stop of Rs 256 target of Rs 240.
Rahul Shah’s stock picks are, “Indiabulls Housing Finance we have seen good short build up in last two days and still today also on technical levels on charts also the levels looks weak so I would go short on Indiabulls Housing with a stop loss of Rs 790 target of Rs 745. GAIL we have seen entire oil and gas underperforming today and we have seen lot of unwinding plus shorts in few stocks so GAIL is a stock where you have seen unwinding as well as fresh shorts built up. I would go short on GAIL with a stop loss of Rs 351 and target of Rs 332. We have seen tech stocks doing fairly well so from there Tech Mahindra is a buy with a stop loss of Rs 794 target of Rs 830.”
