August inflows into Mutual Funds are at a 19 month low also the systematic investment plan (SIP) flows have fallen. The ELSS flows are down more than 30 percent and that has been a constant for our market for many years.
Inflows into mutual funds hit 19-month low in August with the stock markets performing poor for months.
Investors have been very cautious as 70 percent of companies with a market capitalisation of Rs 1000 crore have been trading negative.
The total number of inflows stand at Rs 5,923 crore including equity, equity linked saving scheme and arbitrage funds, data from Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) shows.
The number stood at Rs 10,585 crore in July and Rs 8,237 crore in June.
