Market likely to be in a bull grip till mid-April; every dip a buying opportunity, says Basant Maheshwari

Basant Maheshwari of Basant M Wealth Advisers on Monday said the market is likely to be in a bull grip till mid-April and it would become flat after that but won’t’ fall too much because every fall will be seen as a buying opportunity.

"The current rally in the market is led by foreign institutional investor (FII) money who would have otherwise waited for elections to get over before allocating money but after the Balakot incident, they think the current government would come back to power and around 60-70 percent of their allocation is coming in," Maheshwari said.

"So, I expect the party to continue and expect the money to come in faster than we think and the market may not fall in a big way although one cannot rule out a 100-200 point knee-jerk reaction," he said.

However, on a large scale it is still the same country, same population, same policy, same politics, so nothing has changed in India just that the guys who wanted to put in money are doing it as a faster clip, which is good for the market, Maheshwari added.
