BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) is entering into the market at a time when it is transforming itself and the stock exchange is generally at the forefront of transforming the market, said Ashish Chauhan, MD.

"We are happy that not only in oil, gold and silver but we have now got copper trading going on since last Friday," Chauhan said.

BSE is also planning to get into new more base metals as well as cotton, Soybean, and many other things going forward, he said.

“In terms of SMEs, we have done well. Today itself on this auspicious day of Diwali we have received 326 prospectus which means that almost 50 companies are in the pipeline," Chauhan added.

BSE started commodities on October 1, 2018, which has been another feather in the cap of the stock exchange that it became the first universal exchange with the introduction of commodities, he said.
