Updated : April 23, 2020 03:41 PM IST

Sushil Chandra Mishra, Chairman & Managing Director of Oil India, in conversation with CNBC-TV18 discussed the impact of COVID-19 on oil and gas production and falling crude.

Speaking about lower oil prices, he said, “As far as oil price is concerned, definitely it is a setback and there is a worry. But considering our responsibility as a PSU, we are continuing to serve the nation by producing crude oil and natural gas. We expect the present slump to be a temporary phase and the prices will definitely recover in near future.”

“We have requested the government to allow some concessions enabling us to maintain the profitability," he added.
