India is witnessing a rapid change in its energy sector with renewables driving the energy shift. Currently, it imports nearly 85 percent of its crude requirement.
However, renewable power is becoming a favourite around the world. According to the International Energy Agency(IEA), even during the COVID crisis, renewable power witnessed robust growth when compared to sharp decline seen in crude oil, gas, and coal.
IEA said India is expected to be the largest contributor to the renewables upswing in 2021. So, how does India prioritise the energy investments and what will the demand shift look like?
