Century Plyboards on Tuesday said the company expects a volume of growth 10-15 percent for plywood in FY19.
The company has already increased prices of laminates and plywood, going forward, as the cost pressures ease, the price increase should yield a good EBITDA margin, said Keshav Bhajanka, executive director, Century Plyboards.
“We will definitely have double-digit EBITDA. We are looking at close to 10-12 percent this quarter, it might even be higher. The capacity utilisation is increasing, so yes there is certain pricing pressure but despite that, our EBITDA is likely to be higher this quarter,” he said.
The company will do better volumes in the second half of FY18 due to medium density fiberboard (MDF) plant, Bhajanka said, adding that MDF capacity of the company is the largest in India at the moment and they are expecting to ramp up the capacity to close to more than 70 percent utilisation.
