Senior advocate Harish Salve has been appointed as the Queen's Counsel for the courts of England & Wales.
Advocates who have a particular skill and expertise in the field are awarded the title of Queen's Counsel. Salve will be formally appointed on March 16.
Salve graduated from Nagpur University with a law degree and started his career with JB Dadachandji & Co. After being designated as senior advocate by the Delhi High Court, he served as a Solicitor General for India.
He represented India as a lead counsel in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case. Salve is currently a barrister at the Blackstone Chambers.
