Tata Steel will report its fourth-quarter earnings on Thursday and analysts expect the country’s diversified steelmaker to report a rise in sales.
- Sales could increase by about 20 percent, the operating profit should be more or less flattish and the net profit number is seen around Rs 2,150 crore.
- With regards to India business, the sales volume numbers should show growth of around 18 percent, so that is positive but the same quarter last year there was a shutdown at Kalinganagar facility due to maintenance so volume pickup is on account of a lower base.
- Tata Steel Q4 numbers should come post market hours. The press conference is at around 5 pm today.
