Tata-group's Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) enters homestay market with a new brand 'Ama Trails and Stays.'
It will have two sub-brands - Ama plantation trails and Ama Fine homestays. Ama trails and stays: group of heritage bungalows, guesthouses and Homestays across India.
IHCL has signed a contract for nine heritage bungalows with Tata coffee in Coorg and Chikmagalur.

With India's rich diversity we are confident that we will be able to scale this product to the first 100 units before the end of 2020 and bring distinctive offerings for our guests across the Indian sub-continent." said Puneet chhatwal, MD and CEO, IHCL.
Ama Plantation trails has nine bungalows, eight located in Coorg and one in Chikmagalur. Guests can take a tour of the plantation, go bird watching or play golf.
Bookings for plantation trail will open from March 1. Guests will also be able to earn and burn loyalty points via Taj innercircle loyalty programme.
Ama homestays will start operations with two units in Candolim, Goa.
