The National High-Speed Rail Corp (NHSRCL) has opened technical bids for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train. IRCON International is one of the bidders.

To discuss the bullet train bids, Sunil Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of IRCON International, is in conversation with CNBC-TV18.

Talking about the high-speed railway lines, Chaudhary said, “This tender has been submitted yesterday, this is around a 247-km length of total high-speed railway line out of 508 KM. This is between Vapi and Vadodara. Three consortia had participated in this.”

IRCON International beat the blues after it won an order for road-over-bridges worth Rs 400 crore from the rail ministry.

“Tomorrow, there is another bid which is going to be submitted for 90 km in National High-Speed Rail Corp," said Chaudhary.

When asked about the revenue opportunity, he said, “Revenue for the consortium will be around Rs 30,000 crore and our stake is 30 percent of that.”
