Expect Taj Mansingh to grow revenues in 2.5 years, says IHCL MD Puneet Chhatwal

Updated : October 01, 2018 19:04:33 IST

A margin growth of 15-25 percent is expected for Taj Mansingh after the completion of reorganisation, said Puneet Chhatwal, managing director and chief executive officer of Indian Hotels Company Ltd, after it won the e-auction to operate the hotel.

IHCL is all set to push for the renovation of the iconic Taj Mansingh hotel in New Delhi, said Chhatwal, adding that the renovation will be completed  in 2.5 years.

"The bid for Mansingh was defensive because we wanted to keep a property in this location for the next 33 years," Chhatwala said.

The hotel, he said, is looking to create a formula to drive revenue and profits despite 32.5 percent license fee and will come up with a revenue plan that drives and grows current margins of the iconic hotel.
