Tata Chemicals posted a mixed bag. R Mukundan CEO of the company spoke about the results and gave his outlook for the future.

Mukundan said that we continue to add new products in the portfolio and each one of our product is well accepted by the consumers.

“Our focus initially was the e-commerce and modern trade and as the strength builds it’s also going to be selling in general trade, so we do not see terrific future going forward in the consumer food space,” he added.

“As far as specialty chemicals is concerned, this is something which we have been looking at for a long time and we have had at least two-three new products developed at our innovation center and the innovation center is going to continue to produce new products,” said Mukundan.

We expect 50 percent of revenue to come from consumer and specialty business over next three years, he further mentioned.

On consumer business front, he said we may revise consumer revenue target upwards if business does well.
