CESC will be reporting its quarterly earnings on Friday and analysts expect the company to report a fall in profits this time around
- In terms of standalone performance, the street is expecting revenue growth of around 10 percent, which would be around Rs 1,970 crore.
- EBITDA margins are expected to expand around 400 basis points (bps) to come in at 18.2 percent versus around 14 percent last year and the profit after tax (PAT) is optically showing a decline of 18 percent as the number is Rs 240 crore versus Rs 290 crore. There was a one-off regulatory income last year of around Rs 280 crore and that is why the number is looking a bit skewed.
- The expenses are expected to go down a bit and the lower expense might aide the margins.
