Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has announced change to their business strategy and will now offer 45 days free storage across its 46 EXIM terminals.
“There will be some revenue forego because of increasing the storage period but our endeavour is always to make customers more delighted and creating a customer value. So now people can think about bringing in the imports, they need not worry about the storage and there are many other related problems,” said V Kalyana Rama, CMD of the company.
“We are expecting increase in our revenues, increase in our share,” he added.
Rama said that the company was improving infrastructure for providing better services. "There are some costs involved in this. We were not passing on these costs to our customers earlier. Once we completed it and my customers were satisfied that the services are being provided as per their desire, then we passed on the cost and then we thought of giving some more benefits to the customers and made this storage free,” he further mentioned.
