Sometime in the second week of March, even before the centre announced a nation-wide lockdown, state governments across the country began shutting down schools and colleges temporarily.
This was a measure to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. But while the lockdown has ended and most social and economic activity is lumbering back, there's still no certainty on when schools and colleges will reopen.
