Lockdown impact: Restaurants hope to see some recovery in the festive season

Even as the Centre and state governments continue to unlock several sectors, restaurants across India continue to suffer. High fixed costs, staff shortage, and operations running below capacity has dealt a near-fatal blow to a large number of restaurants. Industry body National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) warns that 30-35 percent of restaurants may have to shut down permanently.
