Mahindra Logistics is working on an "evolving response programme" for COVID-19 vaccine, said Rampraveen Swaminathan, MD & CEO of the company.
“We do work extensively in the pharma sector and right now we are in the midst of talking to multiple pharma companies and other stakeholders to evolve a support mechanism to support the COVID vaccine programme,” Swaminathan said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
According to him, the temperature requirement will be an important aspect to manage vaccine.
On the growth front, he said, “We are planning on building infrastructure on cold chain facility. However, not planning to invest any capex in cold storage.” “We do not own transportation assets but have partners associated for that,” said Swaminathan.
Swaminathan expects a broad-based recovery in consumer segment and strong growth in pharma sector. He expects Q3 and Q4 to be much better than Q2.
