In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Shereen Bhan, Suchitra Ella, the joint managing director, said, "The company is finishing phase I and phase II of Covaxin in about 1,000 volunteers across the country very successfully without any kind of serious adverse events and going to show that the safety was proven in humans and also the immunogenicity was proven again in the phase II trial.
"Bharat Biotech, the company behind Covaxin, said it has now taken phase-III trials on 26,000 volunteers across 25 hospitals in this country and hopefully, it will be able to share some good news in terms of how the vaccine is behaving in this large community-based trial," Ella said at the Switch Summit.
