Delhi health minister says state recorded highest testing numbers in India at around 9,000/million

As the the national capital has been witnessing 500-600 COVID-19 positive cases daily for the few days, Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain on Wednesday said the state has the highest testing numbers in India at around 9,000/million.

Claiming that only patients with mild to regular symptoms require hospitalisation, Jain said 80 percent of Delhi's COVID-19 patients are asymptomatic and they recover between 12-14 days,

As of now, 2,100 beds are occupied, 4,500 beds have been organised across all hospitals and nearly 20 percent of all private hospital beds have been set aside for COVID-19, the minister added.
