With the rising number of coronavirus cases, the railway ministry has stepped up efforts contain the spread. Liquid soap, napkin rolls and disinfectant chemical will be provided to passengers onboard.
Central Railway has instructed its staff to intensively clean coach fittings with disinfectants. Coach fittings include grab handles, door handles, door latches, entry door handles, seat guard etc. Control rooms have also been set up. Audio and video clips being played at railway stations to spread awareness. Info, education and communication material also being displayed in local languages. The medical staff has been deployed with proper protective gears.
