Many nations have realigned and rethought their healthcare goals. In India too the focus has shifted towards greater self-reliance. This has opened up the scope for partnerships in areas like digital health, use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for making universal health coverage a reality.
Industry body CII, at its forum, 'Asia Health 2020' brought together thought leaders to deliberate on ways to reset healthcare and health systems delivery in India.
The panel comprised of NK Singh, chairman of 15th Finance Commission; Malcolm Grant, former chairman of NHS England; Dr Devi Shetty, chairman of Narayana Health; Dr Naresh Trehan, chairman of CII National Council on Healthcare and chairman & MD of Medanta; Suneeta Reddy, MD of Apollo Hospitals; Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, group CEO of Fortis Healthcare and Dr Randeep Guleria, chairman of CII Public Health Council and director of AIIMS.
