Ashish Vohra, ED & CEO of Reliance Nippon Life Insurance, spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the growth in life insurance premiums.
Vohra said that the month of November has seen a lackluster performance and that some reaction to market volatility has impacted growth.
“In the past, it has been seen that when market is volatile consumers tend to postpone their purchase decisions especially when it comes to long-term investments and long-term financial commitments. So that is what is driving the bit of a lackluster performance for November,” he added.
Talking about the business, Vohra said, “We are not a large bancassurance player but against an industry growth of about 10 percent, in the private industry, on a year-to-date basis we are growing at about 32 percent.”
