Pranab Kumar Das, chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on Tuesday, said usage of data analytics would bring down tax evasion in the country.

Speaking about simplifying GST filings, Prakash Kumar said, “It has been rolled out in phases. By the end of this month, we will roll out the tools using which people will upload the invoices. In May, we had rolled out the prototype which people could go and see how exactly it is going to look like."
Talking about his expectations, Kabir Shakir said, “At the design phase, when we were actually implementing GST, it worked wonders as we had 23 different taxes, they are all getting subsumed into one outstanding thinking, outstanding concept. In execution, let me give credit to all of the people on the other side who were actually trying to make this work."
