Kiran Kanojia: India’s first female blade runner

Kiran Kanojia is known as India’s first female blade runner. She works with OpenText as quality engineer.

The date December 24, 2011 changed her life completely when she was travelling by train to her hometown (Faridabad) to celebrate her 25th birthday with her parents.

She was sitting on a lower berth, near the exit door, when two unknown boys came and snatched her backpack. She got dragged to the door and fell on the tracks.

Her leg got stuck on the footboard of the train. The railway police took her to the hospital.

She was depressed and sad mentally and physically. She took six months to recover.

Dakshini Rehab, an organization which helped her to come out of her comfort zone.

Till now she participated in 6 half marathons and 20 other small runs of 5 kms, 10 kms.
