US immigration policy needs to be balanced, says US Chamber of Commerce

After the first 2+2 talks between external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman and their US counterparts secretary of state Mike Pompeo and defence secretary James Mattis, the US Chamber of Commerce on Friday said that American immigration policy needs to be balanced.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Parikshit Luthra, Thomas J. Donohue, president and chief executive officer, said, “I think the US government should have an enlightened view. There is no question that the people that are educated in our great universities and many of the Indian scientists, mathematicians, physicists should have an opportunity to stay in the US. They have to go through the normal process of doing it."
"If we do not have workers in US and scientists and extraordinary people that have been well educated in these areas and they go home, we have to send the work with them. So our deal is to have the balance,” Donohue said.
